Let's address the audio first. The interview with Allison has all that static in it which is really distracting. JoAnn and Mel's interview are great. You also can hear Ben's dad in the background of one of the shots saying to open the window to get the nat sound. You really need to pay better attention to your audio because it's half your project! Poor audio = poor project. Carter does a pretty good job as the reporter but he does have trouble pronouncing some of the words clearly. He has to really practice the script so that when he finally records, we can understand everything he is saying. There are some words in there that are hard to understand and he needs to work on that. If I had to grade just the audio, it would probably be about a 2.5 or a C+/low B. That static in Allison's interview is just hard to ignore. It really negatively affects your video which is too bad. As for visuals, your interviews are framed very well and are excellent. Your b-roll is pretty good, shots are solid and don't move (except for that shot outside the recycling facility) but there are very few sequences. You managed a cut-in early on outside the facility but that's about it. You also reused b-roll shots quite a bit. That means you didn't take enough to begin with. I really like the shot of the garbage truck reversing to end your story. That is just awesome. The truck leaves and the story ends. Nice job. But you could have done that with the beginning too with the truck coming in. You missed the chance to do that which would have really been great to see. You also have to be careful in how you use those charts or slides. Some of them don't really match what's being said. At 2:45 is a good example of this. What does that PAYT slide with all the info about the size of the cans and the cost associated with them have to do with what JoAnn is saying about moving from a throw away society to a more sustainable society? Shots of someone recycling their own waste at home would fit better here. This is better than your first project by far but I still feel you could do better. I'm giving this a 3 or a B.
