Most people have dealt with stress before, especially if you are in the Media Productions class. Because of the loads of stress from this class, I have developed my own strategies for dealing with stress. These methods include sleeping, showering, and doing something that takes little brainpower.
Sleeping is my favorite way of dealing with stress. It feels so good to let everything go and just drift to sleep. It is also really easy to do, and pretty much everybody can. People also don't mind of you go to sleep, just make sure it is at the correct time and place. Sleeping also keeps you healthy, so it's a double whammy.
My second favorite method of relieving stress is to shower. This relieves stress because it is so relaxing to take a semi-warm shower when you get really tense. This also increases personal hygiene, so it also has multiple advantages. The only problem is that it wastes valuable fresh water. Because of this, I would not recommend you take long showers. Try and limit them to less than seven minutes.
The final way that I like to relieve stress is by engaging in an activity that does not require you to think. You can just relax and be entertained. I am specifically talking about watching movies and TV, but it works with a lot of other things. This has a huge downside though. You are probably stressed because something is due, and the last thing that you should be doing is wasting time trying to relieve stress when you could just be working, so this is the least recommended way of stress relief.
These are the ways that I like to get rid of stress. Sleeping, showering, and doing things that you don't have to think about. They all have pros and some have cons, but they all seem to get the job done for me. I hope that these may help you when you start to get stressed.
